Dasypoda males may sometimes oscillate to and fro in the direction of a female. This oscillation is interpreted as an instability of the distance control system. The distance as a function of time is given  here :

The period of the oscillation is 0.22 s. The distance control system is given in the figure below.

From the period of oscillation an estimate of the proportional gain Kr will be derived. With the assumption that τv = τ  : τv= τ = 0.035 s and K= 57.
